  • I teach at my home in Redland (BS6), or online. Unfortunately I’m not able to travel to students’ homes.

  • Not at all.

    I usually start complete beginners by teaching how to tune the guitar and what different parts of the guitar are called.

    Then we go onto some simple riffs that you can play with one finger.

    After that we will look at some easy chords.

  • Your first (free) lesson will begin with a chat — and a cup of tea if you’re visiting in person.

    By the end of the session, you’ll have something enjoyable to practise at your level.

    If you’re a complete beginner, there’s no need to feel embarrassed about learning the basics. We’ll go at your pace, without pressure.

  • Not a problem — I have several available. Over time, it’s helpful to have one at home for practice, but there’s no rush at the beginning.

  • Yes I have a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate.

  • I teach students aged 15 and upwards.

  • No. Older people often make good students due to efficient practice and mature commitment.

    Also, you will be free to progress at your own pace.
